Hi,

I managed to pick up a pre-owned X-box and Gamecube from this coworker who has two young girls who apparently "never" play the systems that their father bought them.

Of course I made her an offer and the kids couldn't wait to spend the money at a Wal-mart shopping spree!!

So I got a almost brand new Xbox and Gamecube with the following games:

X-box:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Sims
Amped

Gamecube:
Sims
Animal Crossing
Lord of the Rings
Super Smash Bros.

Plus all connections and wires, each with one joystick and three memory cards for the GC.........all for $300!!!!

Not bad.........

What do you all think?

And of course, some suggestions about games to get please...
....yes I've read the websites and their opinions of the 'best' games for each system, but I want to hear it from you all....the real game players!

All that and Animal Crossing for GC - a truly great game while it lasts.

Won't recommend any other titles as I've no idea what kind of stuff you like:)

pass on mace griffin, its an average shooter at best. pick up DOA3tho if you like fighters (20 bucks new now), dead to rights (if you dont mind hard games) and panzer dragoon orta (very challenging game, but its worth it). Gunvalykry (or however you spell it) is another good yet hard game. If you cant tell, i like a challenge when i play a game

Loved this game. Not really into soccer but me and a friend sat down and played for hours unlocking all the teams. The Robot team OWNS!

Xecuter 2.2 Lite. Nice chip and have yet to get a bad one. You may wanna wait a bit, the 3 is coming out shortly

Back on topic, not knowing what games you like, I would pretty much agree with everyones list for the Xbox. I also agree 200% with the suggestions to mod it. There are way too many cool things to do with one and you never get bored because ther are 1000's of games to play at all times, Internet radio, kick ass media players, and you can get rid of those damn game demos I will also say that it's probably the first time ever that modding a particular console is not done to play import games or piracy.
