Ps2 Port of Linux?

So, you could have the PS2 and when wanted, webbrouser and such, thats pretty cool. I have yet to purchase a new gen. console...this new info, really could swing me to the sony, which until now wasnt even much of a thought.

That's nice... I seen that a long time ago (about PS2 linux that is)
and was almost going to get it but didn't.

Anyone claim how fast it is on the PS2? Better yet...
how much use can you actually get from it? Any videos in action of it?
:)

I'm sure it's probably not good enough to replace a low-end modern PC?
Haha...how about CD burning with a USB cd burner attatched to your PS2 ;)

What would be the total cost if someone wanted to have Linux on their PS2? I figure you have to pay for the software, a hard disk and a keyboard / mouse as a minimum. Internet use would probably require a modem for the PS2 or does the stock PS2 have other ways to connect?

I would like to learn about Linux but my PC is finicky enough without having to worry about installing another OS.
