Looks like RockStar is bundling these games.
BusinessWire

PS2 gets the bundle Oct.22
Xbox gets it Nov.4

Wonder if they will give the xbox some graphical upgrades.

I never bought VC, are these two really the different thou? Why would you need both of them? I guess if you're into the missions and stuff. All I ever did was run around and kill people. :D

I thought VC was a nice little upgrade with some various new missions that are pretty fun!! like the RC Helicopter deal and such :) good stuff!
(Though I haven't played the game in ever...)

I'm actually surprised the price is so low on VC already..
(unless I'm thinking used copy, I seen them sell locally for $25)
even for used, I think that's a good price.

^From RockStar's Xbox GTA Media page.

I don't get why they are releasing them again on the PS2. Does'nt everyone who owns a PS2 already have these games?

I don't own either one of these consoles so some nice game packs, maybe one or two more killer apps, and console price drops might convince me to buy a PS2 or an Xbox sooner than later. I usually wait until modern consoles (N64, PSX, etc) are less than $50 before I buy them but you never know :)

What do you think about price?? I'm going to guess that the PS2 version is going to come out at $40, XBox at $50.

I'll guess $40 for both systems. Most of Xbox's PC ports hit the shelves at $20. GTA will just be a PC port and your getting two games... so $40 :D

These 2 games are the only games i play on the ps2, Im gonna get the xbox set for sure. Its a shallow thing but the screenies are looking hot for the box. I wonder if any additions to gta3 are in progress?? The motorbikes would make it complete.

Yay! Finally! Who the hell needs a PlayStation 2 NOW? :D Well, not Me at least. Yet. (Not until I see them in the used systems bin at Game Stop for $30.)

XBox for 50, PS2 for 40 is the announced price.

The XBox looks like the PC version, better graphics chip so I would expect it to look better.

PS2 people also get Manhunter, which looks really sick and good. I'm looking forward to Max Payne 2. Good winter for Rockstar.

The PS2 might come in handy when GTA4 is exclusively for that system. :D

I'm betting you'll see GTA4 on the PS3 and Xbox2. PS3 might get it sooner but RockStar has been quoted that they won't be pinning themselves into a corner with one system again. They could have made lots more money on the game if it was out for the cube and xbox when the game was hot.

I don't care how GTA looks..it's all about how it PLAYS.

There is a 3 pack of the first 2 GTA games plus London:1969 for the PS1. I'm picking it up soon. It retails for $30.

I loved the original GTA on the PS1 but the London pack was way to easy to complete...it took me just 2 days!!

I never played any of the GTA series on my PS2 when I had it, but that doesn't matter anymore to us Xbox owners.

I don't give a jackrabbit's ass about the XBOX.

Graphical tweaks? Whoopee!

If you could get the same game but with better graphics, shorter load times, & more possible content ( those with modchips should be able to easily import any PC mods to the game ) what reason is there not to pick up the Xbox version of the game? I only played GTA3 on the PS2 and have'nt played VC yet, so I'll be joining DeVO and picking this up for the box.
