I have 168 different carts and about 175 if you count label variations.

As for the rarest, I would have to say I have it. I have the only known The Last Starfighter prototype cartridge known to exist (for the Atari 400/800 anyway). It's been circulated on disks as a bootleg, but I believe this is the only actual offical Atari prototype cartridge. The guy I got it from said this is the very cartridge they displayed at the CES show in 84. I don't know if that's true, but no one else has come forward with another.

I have sixtysomething CIB carts, plus a few bare carts. Haven't bought a new A8 cart in a long, long time (since the early 90s, other than Castle Crisis).

Your link is dead.

I have many A8 carts, but don't know the total number, or which would be considered the rarest.
I have some protos that are pretty rare, which I got from Tempest<-(Thanks again),
My favorite A8 game for a quick pick up and play is of course 'Defender', next to that would be Star Raiders II-> (The Last Starfigher).

Considering Tempest posted it almost 11 years ago, we can put the pitchforks away ;')

Star Raiders II is the only sealed in box cart i have...

I also have small box BASIC, and 150+ other cart loose... they just started multiplying... ICD SDX, and OSS carts (both black and orange) are my rarest, so nothing special...

Woops, I should have included the non-game carts in my count, above. But I have no idea how many of those carts I have. :) Assembler/Editor, Mac/65, AtariWriter, etc. It's all in the basement in boxes. Some day I'll pull that stuff out again.

Is this the rarest cart? I've never seen another. It's a prototype Atari BASIC. See story:
