Can anyone think of a 3rd party pad that's excellent to use? I have major probs with the d-pad on the S controller playing thps4, I have no problems using the d-pad on the original controller but the buttons are hopelessly placed for it. My hands get way too sore using either of them, Ive seen alot of 3rd party pads but they are pricy. Can somone please give a little info on the best to use? I've thought about the dualshock adapter but i want to feel like im playing x-box.

Get a Magic Box, it allows you to use PlayStation, Dreamcast and Saturn controllers. :)

I like the OEM xbox controllers and have no problem whooping ass witha controller-s on tony hawk4. I have heard very good things about the pelican wireless controllers but have never used them. It took me along time to get used to the Xbox controllers with tony hawk though ( all those hours with the PS1 controller and Tony1 makes it hard to switch ). :D

Having used nearly every oem pad out there, I think the Controller S is the best for any console. Far better than the Sony pads. I guess we all have different hands and different needs.

I don't care for the S controller much. It's a little too small. If you simply grab it, and hold it in a way where it's nice and solid in your hand's, you can't reach the buttons or d-pad very well. They all end up being under the kuckle instead of the fingertip.

The Black/white buttons. Damn near under your palm. Gotta half let go of the controller and shift your hand to beable to use them. Also, the rumble effect isn't any where near as strong as the original controller.

IMHO, the original big honkin brick of a controller is the best.

yeah, the rumble function is a oain anyhow, and the s controller actually has black/white buttons reachable by 99% of the populaton, and not 330 pound goliaths . :D

Well ive bitten the bullet and gone out to buy this (http://www.lik-sang....oducts_id=1892 )as advised buy CPUWIZ. It has made such a huge difference i could shoot myself for selling halo! Amazingly a store stocks these only walking distance from home, cost $50 though. Im gonna get the gamecube version tomorrow.

Trust me, if u have girly like teeny hands like me the xbox controllers hurt after a short period of time.

Another option if you're a little more budget minded and only want to use PSX controllers, this PSX to XBOX Adapter only costs $7.95. And it's shipped locally (my orders from Jandaman come in 2-5 days tops).

My DC gun wont work, It is an NTSC/JAP gun though and wont work on pal DC's either. The guy at the store says they do work though (same region equipment)

The same company does a Gamecube version for PSX controls only. Im getting it for sure.

Ok, I just read the FAQ for thing thing, and found out it does NOT support Lightguns, Mice, Keyboards or Dancepads. :( Oddly, it DOES support fishing controllers. :? :ponder:

But the dance pad's a standard controller, at least on the PS.

I would be incredibly shcoked if the DC pad wasn't.

I read that they do indeed work and was also told this at the store i bought it. I cant test this as i only have a different region (ntsc) gun from a DC. I may try and run PAL 60 and see what happens.

Grrrr, I wish I knew for sure. Thats pretty much the main reason I'm interested in this, so I can use my DC or Sat lightgun with it.

I'll probably just end up buying it and find out for myself. :|
