Do any of you know what kind of an arcade machine this is? I've been offered to buy it but the guy selling doesn't have a clue what it is.

A search turned up something called "Super Select System" by Arcadia. I dunno :?

Found it...released by Mastertronic under the Arcadia label, it was similar to the Nintendo Playchoice 10, except that it used games based on the Amiga hardware. It supposedly came in 2 flavors, sports games or action games. You can find it listed in an unMame'ed page

My dad had one of the Nintendo Play Choice years ago out in a bar. I remember the games were just like Nintendo games graphic wise but you couldn't just use Nintendo carts in it , they were on thicker boards that plugged into slots and it seems to me the were more expensive then the games if bought in the stores. Of course he bought it used and it was pretty old, the games he had could be found for $10 at that time. I would make sure it came with some games or that it's not too difficult to pick some up if you are considering purchasing it.

Since many are on the "most wanted list", I'd say that boards are hard to come by. It's argued that it may have been only released in Europe and Australia.
