You could always get another INTV down the road.

They're not terribly uncommon.

I almost never use emulators.

It's not that hard to swap out controllers on an INTV 1. The controllers are plugged into the motherboard inside the console, and are not soldered, so if you have a non-working (or a beat up one with nice controllers) it is a fairly easy swap.

Thanks for the info...I just got a 2nd Intellivision for the simple fact that it had the disc controllers. My first one had some kind of joystick thing stuck on top of the discs...I hated those.

But the video on the 2nd one stutters badly when the screen scrolls, my older one had perfect video.

Glad to know I can have my dream INTV in just a few minutes tomorrow morning :D

I bought a couple of those INTV joystick things that clip on over the control disc back in the late '80s. And here's a question: when the Intellivision II came out with it's detachable controllers, did any 3rd party company put out replacement controllers, or at least announced them before the market crashed? You would think that with controllers that very few people liked to use, there would be a market for new ones. There were replacements for the 5200's crappy controllers, after all.

And as far as good games go, my votes are for: Thunder Castle, Hover Force, Tower of Doom, Commando, Thin Ice, Mind Strike (ECS), Utopia, Stadium Mud Buggies, and my favorite, Diner.
