I had DotC for the ST. It was a pretty good game, and the scene with the princess when you win...

There was a hack of the ST version in which the chick at the end of the game was nude.

'course I never saw that one. :ponder:

Forget the PC and NES versions, I'm playing this as it was originally intended (by God or someone else up there in the chain...) on the Commodore!

And yes, I will be buying the remake. I heard it's being released on Oct. 3rd, but I'm in Canada so who the heck knows...

Go to the Cinemeware website for info on Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown. And don't forget that Defender of the Crown is also available RIGHT NOW for the Gameboy Advance! Bought mine two days ago at Babbage's for $9.99 (not a typo). Identical tot he Commodore 64 version. Very nice indeed.

I wasn't impressed with the GBA version for one reason, the swordfighting! On the old PC version (remember that nasty CGA version?) the fighting was done by basically hammering the spacebar until the other guy dropped. Now you have to time your attacks, use thrusts, and defend and all that jazz. While this may make the game more realistic and in-dpeth, I've played the "button masher" version all my life and now I can't seem to ever complete a raid. It drives me nuts! I can't do it!

Cinemaware also has GBA versions of Wings and The Three Stooges too! (Now if they'd just release It Came From the Desert and Rocket Ranger for GBA, I can die a happy man!)

I just picked up tthe Stooges for the PSX a couple of weeks ago. Fun game, but the graphics were exactly the same as I remember back then. I thought they would have enhanced them a bit. Other than that, it seems spot on.

Rocket Ranger would be a blast I agree.

That was one of my favorite ST games. I did get to win the game a few times ( I was good at jousting) but I never got to win the game and save the princess at the same time. Therefore I knew that if I saved the princess, I was not going to win the game but who cared? Hubba Hubba :D

To the winner goes the spoils (this was the advertisement from a few ST magazines) and the young lady model used in the ad had some ample cleavage

This game was on last months demo disc for the Xbox. Looked pretty cool. Street date is 9/30/03 for XB and PS2. Didn't have any release info for GC or PC.

It looks like they are going to release the game in a revised version for the PC. I would love to be able to play that game again. I tried playing it on an Atari ST emulator but it could not keep up with my mouse movements so I could not joust like I used to.
