I have the SW game Attack on the Deathstar for the Japanese X68000. I know it's available for the Japanese PC98 (ehh?) too. I can't play it since I don't have a X68000. There is one tiny, bad picture in the manual showing what happens within the game. I can hardly see what's going on but it seems to be a little similar to the Arcade game, but I'm not sure.

Anyone?

The X68000 was a Japanese computer that was never released in North America. I'm not terribly well versed on the system itself, but I think it was about as powerful as a Genesis, and of course, is based on the Motorola 68000 processor. The PC98 is a newer machine, and I think is based on Intel's Pentium. The architecture is somewhat different than North American PC's though, so they're not really compatible.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the game itself... although the computer was actually quite popular in Japan (although completely unknown here), so I doubt it's rare.

There should be an emulator you can try to run it on (At least there's a Mac version of an X68000 emulator). Is it a cartridge or floppy disc?

5.25" unfortunately. I also have the original Castlevania for the X68000 which I can't play either. DAMN!

Don't know what to tell you. Maybe try to import the actual system?

I have played the X68 version of Castlevania and it is a really good game. Excellent graphics and nice music. The X68 had a lot of newer games including Super SF2 (which was very, very good), Afterburner, Castlevania and more.

Check around, there are a few emulators for this system.
