WOW! I didn't know this mod was so easy and had such results! It was especially easy since I used CPUWIZ's custom PCB for my mod. The thing worked flawlessly first time around! If you guys are to intimidated by by opening up your VSC, don't be. Well I think I'm going to go play some Frogger now... :D

CPUWIZ's custom PCB??

I wanna see!

I need to mod my 2600, 5200, & 7800! I've got lots of spare 2600s, so I'm fine doing that myself, but I've only got 3 5200s(2 4-ports, 1 2-port) and 2 7800s, hope to be able to sell/trade one of these thou, so 1 easily modded 5200 & 1 7800, I'm not sure I want to crack them open just yet. :| Would like more practice before I do them. I'd like to really start working on some of these projects I've got piling up.

I don't have a picture of the final product here (at work) but here's a pic I found CPUWIZ post some time ago.

If you want when I get home I can post some pictures of my final product using his circuit.

Uh oh, thank you. This is just a board to make the Heckendorn mod even easier to do. :)

I am waiting for all the "that mod is crap" posts now. :ponder:

Wow...that mod is crap! ;)

But I guess they're all crap...except for whichever one works for you personally. Oh yeah. And mine. Mine's not crap. :D

So how many different composite video mods are there for the 2600?

Whats the best?

And are those pots in the above pic?

Whats the purpose of that PCB?

Chris's upcoming mod is going to be the end-all solution.

Yes, those are pots to adjust the video. You can look at the diagram for the mod on the VCSP site. I just made a PCB for it to make it a little neater. :)

Much neater and much easier! :D

Although I would like to check out this new mod you mention. Just for the hell of it since now I'm over that "don't break anything you can't fix" fear.

No chips. One 22-ohm resistor and two 1k potentiometers.
