A number of titles appeared on multiple Atari platforms, but not all of them were wonderful translations (e.g. 2600 "Pac-Man" and "Defender", Lynx "Asteroids", etc.). What title was translated successfully to all systems on which it appeared?

My pick: Joust, which is as much fun to play on the 2600 as it is on the Lynx.

Any others?

Ms. Pac-Man is excellent on its four systems.

Robotron is pretty well done on its three.

Moon Patrol is excellent as well but only appears on two systems.

Let's see...

Asteroids
Moon Patrol
Robotron
Ms. Pac-Man
Joust
Fatal Run (So what, I liked Fatal Run on both systems)
Mario Bros.
Centipede
Millipede
River Raid
Pitfall II
Beamrider
H.E.R.O.

Centipede, Missile Command, and Ms. Pac-Man I can play on any Atari system and enjoy. I'd include Dig Dug here but I'm not a big fan of the 2600 version.

A funny sort of thing I noticed tonight while playing Dig Dug on the 7800 was how much longer it takes to "pump up & explode" a creature than it does on the 2600. At first I thought I was imagining it but then I played them both, one right after the other, and noticed it clearly. Not sure how Dig Dug plays on the 5200 as I would have to set up my system and see. Dig Dug moves faster on the 7800 but you destroy creatures faster on the 2600.

I don't think there's a bad version of Joust, hands down.

I would have thought the same of “Space Invaders” if it weren’t for the abominations that showed up on the Atari 5200 and 8Bit lines!

Yeah, but I don't actually have a 5200, so I like it because I don't have to deal with the dead fish controllers.
