As an aside, the third edition of Phoenix has dates and photos of the first and last covers for nearly all of the US videogame magazines (thorugh summer 2001).

Phaze's Classic Videogame Magazine Museum has some cover scans online as well. Beware of popups though :P

Rick,

Great! If its not too much trouble, it would be very useful to know the total number of issues for each mag. Many times, issues are skipped and therefore it helps to know how many exist from say "aug 82-fall 84".

Thanks again

I've been using the list on DP for this, but I have found a few inconsistencies.

http://www.digitpres.../faq/vgmags.txt

Since we're on the topic of magazines, I still need a few to complete my collections - if anyone has the following issues and wants to sell them, please let me know. :D

Colecovision Experience #2
Joystik Apr 83, Sep 83, Dec 83
Video Games Apr 83, Aug 83, May 84, Fall 84
Video Games Player Dec 82/Jan 83, Feb/Mar 83, Apr/May 83, Jun/Jul 83
Computer Games Jul 84 and any later issues.

I have completed the following collections: Electronic Games, Electronic Fun, Videogaming Illustrated, Vidiot, BLiP, Atari Age. :D

JOYSTIC not Joystick=9 issues

Thanks for the link! Need to convert this to Ms Excel. Mainly collect Atari Computer related mags, but occasionally run across others.

Wantlist:

Compute! : NovDec 1980, Mar,Apr,May Jun 1981

Creative Computing: Missing only the first five issues 1974-1975 and one or two in 1976. Fat chance :( :!:

Atari Interface: 1989 - need all except August, July 1991

Atari Classics : October-1993, Sep/Oct 1995, July-1997

Current Notes: Feb-86, Mar-86, Apr-86, May-86, Jul-86/Aug-86,
Nov-86, Mar-88, May-88, Aug-94/Sep-94, 1996- the last 4 issues

APX catalogs - Fall 1981, Winter 1981
