I was just wondering: If you were to chose one game that best
represents or is most strongly associated with a given game maker,
(on any system) what would it be?

Some of my choices:

Nintendo: Super Mario Brothers
Namco: Pac-Man
Capcom: Ghosts and Goblins
Atari: Pong
Konami: Castlevania
Taito: Bubble Bobble
Irem: R-Type
Activision: Pitfall
Electronic Arts: M.U.L.E.
Seibu Kaihatsu: Raiden
Psikyo: Strikers 1945

I'm sure I've forgotten quite a few, but that's a start...

The only things on your list I'd change would be:
Capcom: Street Fighter II
Taito: Elevator Action

Taito: SPACE INVADERS

Punk!

:D

(And to that end, I'd also pick Donkey Kong as "the" game for Nintendo...)

I was thinking about SI but for some reason I always associate Taito with Elevator Action.

Punk. :D

Well, Taito Bubble Bobble has Space Invaders in it.
They usually kill me, too. The punks!

Oh, and I forgot:

I disagree with Christianscott27 on his choices for Imagic and Data Age.
It should be:
Imagic - Demon Attack
Data Age - Journey
And now, A few of my own:
Mystique - Custer's Revenge
Starpath - Communist Mutants from Space
Parker Bros. - Frogger

I'd say Atari might even be more well-known for Asteroids than for any other game... Even Pong. Of course, Atari is replete with iconic games. Asteroids, Battlezone, Centipede, Missile Command, and Tempest are all equally iconic. (Which is why they all end up in PC compilations.)

i'm biased toward atlantis, it just had those laser line graphics that seemed to really match the imagic box style, they even had that atlantis in the bahamas contest. its probably an even race, i see both in almost every 2600 pile.

i gotta say though that i should have put SNAKE for data age, i think that may be the most reviled 2600 game of all, if nothing else it iconic of the low quality flood that edged the "crash" along

moving on with a few more

parker bros- frogger
tigervision- miner 2049er
gottlieb- q*bert
hudson- bonk
