I just got my copy of 5200 Mr.Do's Castle in the mail and I love the label so much that I can't stop staring at it!

Is it just me, or did Parker Brothers have good label quality?

Too bad they used cheap glue that caused the labels to come off.

Of all the PB carts in my collection, Mr.Do has got to be the best label.

:? Didnt alot of PB games lables just say the name of the game???

I suppose that is a good thing... Lest you wouldn't know what you were playing.

I personally dislike the lables...Because as you stated...They come off too easy and since its one piece, once it comes off, you're left with a mystery cart.

Well I did download a image editing program and I used a color scheme similar to the one used with 5200 Mr.Do.

I dunno many.

I'm just expressing apprecaition for a certain company's labels.

I have very few "mystery" carts anyway.

Some labels did have pictures on them..like the Star Wars games for the 2600 and INTV.

Here's a neat trick:

Take any standard PB cart and remove the label.

Plug it into a console and voila: Frogger! ;)

I'm tired.

That explains why I'm making a lot of grammatical errors.

i grew to hate them in all their forms during my parker bros project this summer. i had to remove about 60 of them from the cases and the bastards used several different types of glue, some had be to razored off.
going thru all of those carts i noticed how many design revisions PB went thru over the course of their production. the latter carts had none of the metal of the early ones, screws, springs all gone, i assume it saved them money to do this. all in all though they made a respectable line, not too many duds.

The 2600 PB labels are great, Its a pity about that glue though. Too many of my PB labels just fall off in 1 piece.
