Just picked up a Intellivision II for $15 at a thrift store. I got Burgertime with it. What games are your favorite, that you recomend I look into finding?

Also, I've read that some of the Coleco titles (DK, Mouse Trap, Carnival) won't work due to programming issues. Anyone who owns a II had these...do they work for you?

Burgertime
Diner
all of the sports games
Night Stalker
Microsurgeon
Dracula

I'm sure many more people will recomnmend many more games to you. I also recommend getting sticklers, they are joystick handles that replace the annoying disks. They've made all the difference in gameplay for me so far.

Since you got Burgertime, you already have one of the best games ever made for any classic system. I'd also recommend Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. And don't worry about not being able to play Donkey Kong. Coleco achieved the impossible by making the INT version even worse than the 2600 version.

Gotta work to get these, but worth it:

Really? I had no idea this game (which I own) was rare.

Is there a decent Intellivision rarity guide out there?

Digital Press's book, but thats not free, obviously, is a good rarity guide nonetheless.

Sweet games that haven't been mentioned include Centipede, Dig Dug, and the hard to find River Raid.

LadyBug is rare? Mine came in a French language box. I've never been able to play it on my Inty II to see if it works or not.

Thunder Castle is great. Nice graphics, fantastic music, plenty of mazes to keep you occupied. Diner is fantastic. There's something like 16 levels or so, and they're all different. Even more good music. Hover Force is really good, too. Stadium Mud Buggies is pretty good, but not great. I've read online how rare this game was. I ordered mine directly from INTV. Then I noticed my local TRU had gotten lots of them in. They just sat there and eventually got marked down to next to nothing. I wish I would have picked up some of those, along with all the other classic games they had in their discount game area, like their Vectrex carts and such. My TRU used to keep a pretty decent stock of games back then.

Anything by Imagic, rare or common, is pure gold on this system.

This topic comes up every once in a while... but here's my recommendations anyways:

Night Stalker
Advanced Dungeon's & Dragons
AD&D Treasure of Tarmin
Frog Bog
Burgertime
Lock 'n' Chase
Dragonfire
Demon Attack
Utopia (wow, was this game ever ahead of it's time)
