So, I will start shipping SIC again early next week. Pre-orders please wait for confirmation email.

By the way, the "invader red" case shown above will be used with SIC Deluxe Edition next year...

I talking about new releases, beside Sky Jaguar announced last month, Opcode Games will also release two more games in time to PC5: Konami's Ping Pong and Yie Ar Kung-Fu (plus an extra surprise title). I hope CV fans will enjoy as much as I am enjoying this whole experience.... :D

I gotta say that I love your SI cart, I recently played round after round with that freaky Wico stick which I do not recommend for proper side-scrolling shooting.

The Coleco Space Invaders cart is top quality, worthy of having been released in the old days. My favorite CV homebrew ever.

Hi!

Well, me and my partner Dale Crum are planning to launch them at Philly Classic 5, and making them widely available after it through Ataricart and Opcode websites.
Price will be no more than $30, including discounts for bundle packs. Everything with nice boxes and manuals (wait till you see that Dale is creating) :)

The games look great as usual, Eduardo. Funny thing, I played Konami Ping Pong for the first time ever on the C64 just yesterday before I read your post. I must have known something :D

So with a first edition, a second edition and a deluxe edition the SIC is
rapidly out pacing the number of revisions George Lucas has made to
Star Wars. Don't milk the cow too much or risk diminishing returns.

Second edition isn't a revision, but just a re-release. My new cases were delayed several times, and since I was trying to have SIC ready in time to CGE, I ended assembling a batch of carts using recycled cases. It was never my intention to artificially create a rarer version or something like this. Beside, I made it clear for buyer of the first version I was going to release a 2nd "run" using new cases...
The Deluxe Edition is something which I would have loved to release now, along the standard version, so the buyer would choose between both, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to deal with all necessary items involved. I greatly apologize for this.
Moreover, everybody knows Thrust is the king of special editions here, not SIC... ;)

Wow opcode that's really just amazing. That looks as good as anything that was ever released for the 5200 or the NES. I just got done playing some "early release" NES games like Excitebike, Hogan's Alley, and Super Mario Bros. and it's clear to me that what you have done on the ColecoVision really make that thing shine. There were a lot of undesirable games put out on that system IMHO, but these are real gems.

...almost makes me want to learn how to code for the ColecoVision. It's a shame they didnt shrink that thing down and continue selling it thru the rest of the 80s.

It's absolutely amazing how well the Colecovision (which I'll admit isn't my favorite system) can reproduce games from the 81-84 time frame. Op-Code's port appears to be almost pixle perfect )with minor color differences). One has to wonder how well the Colecovision would have done with game like this...

You kind of make it sound like the CV didn't sell well. It did. It outsold Atari and Intellivision at one point. It's strength has always been good arcade conversions.

I agree though that Op-Codes games look great! I'll be picking themup at PC5 :D

It was good of you to mention the 2nd edition. I passed on it because I
was into having it in a custom case. But with a red deluxe edition I might
have to wait until then, that red looks fantastic

Cool!! Looks like a very good port.
I think I still need to place the legs of the table in there. :)
The score system was changed a bit to become more "home tuned". Now the first player to win two "games" of 21 points will be the winner.
I hope to create a "light" tournament version so we could promote a nice championship at PC5... :D

Don't worry. Pre-orders will always be given preference. But if you are going to PC5, it would be a good way to save some shipping charges.
