Now I've got it for the NES, SMS, GameCube, Genesis, and GBA. I'm such a dork.

Nice find, thats one of the rarest NES games. I saw one at Gamestop once and they wanted $20.

Rare, eh? There's a used video game shop I frequent that has a copy of it. I might have to pick it up there, if they're not charging too much...

I didn't know this game existed on any platform, not counting the Arcade Classic series CDs for modern gaming platforms.

How well does the 3-d translate on the NES?

I just got PacMania for Genny through EBAY, and now I can't stop playing it.
Great, great game.
With that being said, I'm glad you are also a dork that collects the same game on every system. I just got Pac Man for NES today, and now I have Pac Man on 2600, INTV, Genny, SNES, and Nintendo....hoping to get that Pac Man colecovision thingy when it comes out.

I think thats my big joy with video games lately, comparing the same game on different systems.

The NES version is a really nice translation. I’d say that it’s better than the Genesis version and, perhaps, even better than the SMS one.

That's a sweet site. Thanks for the link!

That list is missing one entry from what I can see:

Namco Museum for PS2. Pacmania is an unlockable game on that collection.

It's funny to see that this game was released for the C64, Amiga and Sinclair Spectrum. The translation must have been pretty bad. :D

Tom's list isn't perfect. I saw a few omissions on a quick scan through as I was posting the link (i.e. – “Rainbow Islands” for the SMS) and the list pretty much ends with the PS1 (none of the newer comps are accounted for). Still, it ain't a bad place to start ...

As for the Sinclair Spectrum version of "Pac-Mania", I'd be very interested to see what that one looks like!
