Potentiometer/dial thing on my Heavy Sixer motherboard

I recently opened my Heavy Sixer (original Sunnyvale model) and noticed that the motherboard has on it what appears to be a dial or pot.

What is this used for exactly? I checked the board and circuit tracings, but despite that, I couldn't really get a sense for what its purpose is.

It's a color adjustment. Specifically, it controls the voltage fed to the color delay line in TIA.

Interesting. I suppose the next time I open the system up, I should try a few adjustments. The color output from this system is quite good, especially suprising for such an old console!

If you do, put in a game that uses several different colors and you know exactly what it should look like.
