Just got a Channel F from Ebay (after getting rid of a different one that didn't work properly), and I fire it up, and the game screen looks like it should be clean (no garbled graphics that typically plague this system), except the picture looks really fuzzy, like the switchbox isn't connected properly or the RF cord is loose. I've tried a variety of switchboxes, and a cable/RF adapter, and opened the console and replaced the RF cord with 3 different ones, and the problem persists. Any suggestions? Did I end up with yet another busted Channel F?

Probably you did. The quality control on those things wasn't too good to begin with. I find that the Channel F System II's were a little more reliable, the original models were pretty shoddy. The electronics just don't hold up over time.
