I got a Vader in today that has the video wire cut, it looks like shit and I just can't bring myself to throw it out...so i figure it would be a good project box...too bad because I don't have a nice Vader in amongst my stack of crap.

Anyway...I read the FAQ and I'm not familiar with the Luma/Chroma talk...so I figured I would see if any of you guys have done it yet and if so what is involved in simple terms..

A few options here. You could just replace the the video cable. Nice,
simple fix. They're available everywhere for cheap.

Or you could do one of the mods available online. Pretty cheap, a little
harder to perform, and hit or miss results. Some people report a smooth
install with good performance, some people have trouble with the
installation, but the performance is good. Some people have trouble
with the installation and never get it to work at all.

Or you could order the CyberTech Video Card from Atari2600.com.
It produces s-video output, and is plug and play. A bit expensive, but
it's a snap to install, and you'll never get better video out of a 2600.
I'd recommend that. ;)

If I worked on perfecting a 2600 A/V mod for as long as Chris has, I would too.
