This may sound weird but, for those of you that have played Vice City, you've probably heard the degenetron ads on the radio. Well I found a site that emulates all three games from the fictional system. (www.degenetron.com). I'm thinking that I build a simple computer based system that looks like its from the 80's. Make the emulator start on startup and use one of those 2600 computer joysticks as the controller. Think it's a good idea?

I'd rather you put your ambitions into programming a new 2600 or Lynx game.

Maybe making a mockup would be cool... A friend of mine made a "Woodtendo" once... funny as fuck.

Sounds cool  Post a pic when you're done. There was site
selling PCs that were stuffed in NES and 2600 cases so I'm sure it can
be done. You should try to copy some obscure 80s system maybe
a Japanese import.

I think it'd be really cool if someone contacted Rock Star and asked them to hook up with a regular programmer for 2600 homebrews to make a version of the Degenetron.

Turn the fictional classic game into a real game for a real classic system, you know?

And hey, they have cash enough that they might be interested in a silly project like this.
