My newest toy, an adapter to let you use a jaguar controller on a 5200, intellivision,
or colecovision.
Some special features:
* Full keypad, fire button and 8-direction dpad support for all 3 consoles
* Uses standard jag controller with no modifications needed
* Single-button pause function for intv
* Supports the two extra fire buttons from the CV super action controller.

Schematics and full details are at:
http://www94.pair.co...oper/index.html
There's been some talk "behind the scenes" about mass producing some version of this.
One problem is that it may have to be 5200 only because the other two systems require a
console mod to tap out the 5v supply. Another issue is the component count
is so high that it may need to be dropped into an fpga. How many of you would like to buy this?
Any other comments or questions?

That is very cool indeed but I think mass producing for the 5200 only might be a mistake with the advent of the Redemption controller adapters. While I'm sure there's people who would prefer a Jag controller on their 5200, I'm not sure they would shell out if they already bought the Redemption. Maybe if the price was able to be less then the Redemption,it would do better.

I'm no marketing guy so don't take my opinions on it too seriously.

Wow looks good! I'm surprised that Jag version of the 5200 redemption
was not made. Seems like a natural given the keypad. Does your device
make it unnesscary to have to use a Y cable with an original 5200 stick?
This has always made using alternate controllers on the 5200 a little
clunky. I'd like it to be all in one so I have stuck with the eccentric stock
controllers. But if the start/pause button & keypad can all work on the
Jaguar pad then you might have a sale here. Regardless, nice 3 in 1
adapter :D

I think you should include the 2600 in the list along with the 5200 ect...

I'd buy one in an instant.

John. What can I do to convince you to proceed?

Even WITH a hardware mod, I think one of these for the INTV would be a DAMN good idea. I toyed with doing exactly the same thing a year or so ago but couldn't figure it out. My hat's off to you sir. This would make a great console actually playable for once.

Wow, this would be great! I've still yet to find a working 5200 controller, and I don't like how most adaptors still require a 5200 controller for keypad/start/reset/etc. I'm assuming this uses Jaguar buttons for the top three buttons?

Thanks for the kind words everyone, they make up for the long hours alone with the soldering iron.

@Tyr and Ze_ro: Yes, Option button is 5200_Start, Pause button is 5200_pause (intv_pause also), and C button is 5200_reset

@Famicoman: Man, this thing is too much work already and not sure if one controller can have both
2600 joystick and keyboard modes. Best Electronics sells a jag to 2600 joystick adapter if that's all you want.
Keep those questions coming though.
