Theres a room in Boo's mansion with a vase. when you jump inside it
you change into an Old skool pixelated mario and the music changes
to the original SMB theme.

WTF?

Is there a purpouse to this ? where the programmers smoking crack ?
I just have to know ;)

If I'm not mistaken, you could do a similar trick in the SNES Super Mario RPG.

It's simply there as a nostalgic gimmick. Kind of a nice touch.

I never knew about that, in Super Mario RPG.

After trying and failing for the fifth time to get that hidden box in the hall, when Toad comes out, the ONLY TIME IN THE WHOLE DAMN GAME YOU CAN GET THAT BOX, I played through it a last time and sold it to Funcoland.

Love that game, though.

Sold? You mean got 3 bucks in store credit when they go and sell it for 30?

Nah, not quite, but I did not get the full value of it, no.

Back when I got rid of it, Funcoland was offering a bit more in Trade-In credits, so I got something on the order of $15ish. Not great, but it was slightly more than I had originally paid for it, so I didn't lose sleep over it all.
