Hi everyone. I asked this over at DP , but no one has replied yet, so I though that I'd try it here:
I found this game today( The Faery Tale Adventure Book 1) , and thought that it was complete, but on both disk's it has "DISK B", no "DISK A". Does anyone know how many disk was in with this game? It doesn't look right that it has 2 "B" disk's. Other than that, it is complete. All of the maps and instructions have the look of aged paper, and it even has a card to trade in your 5.25 disk's for 3.5 disk's. If anyone knows about the disk's, it would be appreciated,
Tony
I also got Harrier Combat Simulator by Mindscape, and Destroyer by Epyx. All 3 are 5.25" floppies. I wish I had a system that plays these disk's :(

Hmm. 386 systems aren't too hard to find, and most come with 5" drives. Though the shipping might be murder, you can try ebay for a system... or if you luck out, an old-hardware site that has the drives alone. With a little cable juggling, you could install a 5" drive in a new system as drive B, but most people wouldn't want to waste a bay for that.

I am not one of those people. I even bought a tape drive for my next system... Oh yeah. You want Doom 3? I got it! ON TAPE!

That sounds like a great idea. I'll look around tomorrow at the flea market for a drive. If I can get it working I'll let you know.

Roger that. If you only find a drive, or a dead system that can be scavenged...

You can buy just the drive itself from Amazon or from a computer show in your area. heres an amazon but out of stock. :( its mostly cheaper than 3.5 drive.

You could browse the abandoware sites for an Amiga version to
emulate. Very nice RPG that got forgotten. I believe there was a
sequel made that flopped very badly.

Did you get the box with it? There are some funny pictures in the
gate fold of the designer all decked out in armor and hanging out
in front of castles.

Yes, it came with the box. The picture is too dark to see much. What I'm still wondering is did it come with an "A DISK". This one just has 2 "B DISK" with it. Thanks for all the replies,
Tony

My guess is trhat there is supposed to be a disk A in there somewhere. Methinks you have an incomplete game :(

I'm not an RPG player at all, but back in my C64 days I really wanted to play this game, it looked so good.

This game was also released on the Sega Genesis. Far as I know, it pretty much is a dead on exact of the Amiga release. I do have this cart for my Genesis, but haven't really played it much save to test that it worked when I got it.

The Amiga version was 2 disks and I doubt they would release a one
disk game labeled "B".

Here's what Mobygames has to say about the rare sequel:

Could it be possible that they may have labeled the disk wrong? Both disk's are labeled "B". I'll probably throw these up on E-Bay, I have a Gamecube now :D , and all my extra time will be spent playing it. Thanks again,
Tony
