Plus, thanks to Rob Mitchell, soon i'll have a Vectrex! And at some point i'd like to buy a Sega Saturn off a co-worker.

Actually, I quite enjoyed the SMS and early Genesis offerings, as well as Sega's great coin-op classics. Tom Kalinske did a good job running SOA through 1992, though he was around during the Sega CD and Saturn launches though his control was somewhat limited during that time.

As such, you can amend my name to MISTER SEGA POST-KALINSKE ERA SUX! ;)

Hey! Fanboy, out of all your systems, what is your favorite, and what is your favorite game for that system?

What's wrong with using this thread to compare collections? Perhaps it will held NESFanboy realize that there are lots of other collectors on here who at one point, were new to AtariAge. He will have an easier time relating to people if we mention about what kinds of games and systems we collect/play.

okay. thats a good point. let me list my collection now too!

I own every cartridge based console released in the United States. Hands down.

I own Every CD/DVD based console released in the United States. Hands down.

I own an extremely large number of the "pong era" clones. (but as luck would have it, some of them are very hard to find. and throwing money at it dosen't help if you A.) simply can't find it, or B.) Found it but the collector who has it wont sell out!)

I've started collecting for non-US released consoles and I am working at building that collection to massiveness too.

now as for games for all my systems. well... some of my systems only have one or two games for them. I am a Hardware collector. I'm an unusual breed of collector. I'll pass by every cart in a bin just to get the rare joystick. but you can pretty much bet, that if a system once had it as an optional accessory, I have it. I have some protos too. not game protos, but hardware protos, thanks to my good friend at Best-Electronics!
