my favorite osbscure one hassta be dragon's lair. Damn it would be kewl to play that again.
You actually have a number of options to play that nowadays.
I bought a win95 version for like 10 bucks at KB a few years back which included Dragons Lair, DL2 and Space Ace. I'm sure that's out of print but ebay or half.com might help you out.
The same company (Digital Leisure) has an updated version of that 3-pack
here along with a number of other Windows Dragon's Lair versions (including an "Arcade Accurate" one... when I played the win95 one, it seemed more or less as I remembered it, but whatever.)
On that same page is a Dragon's Lair 20th Anniversary Edition for DVD players (including the Xbox and PS2 apparently) and a DVD-ROM version with upgraded video for the PC. I guess they have a Mac (OSX only) version now too.
If you have one of those, and run some other operating system as I do, you can take the video files and use them in
Daphne, the laserdisc game equivalent to MAME. Frankly, you can probably find the MPEG files on ed2k or something if you don't want to shell out the 60 bucks for the current Dragon's Lair packs. (I actually mean to look for Star Rider MPEGs one of these days, seeing as how its pre-rendered graphics are already looking long in the tooth nowadays and no one's ever going to release something like that in the age of F-Zero.)
