Hello and welcome to AtariAge!

We've only recently started adding foreign (non-US) titles to our database, so the listings aren't quite complete in that regard. However, we do have the PAL version of Venture listed. We've generally been going after the games that either weren't released here in the US, or those for which significant label variations exist (such as all the PAL CBS versions of the games Coleco released).

If you can send us scans of the Commando and Space Shuttle carts, we'll add them to our listing. Commando was initially released by Activision. Salu later distributed some of their titles in Europe. Does the Space Shuttle label differ from this label? There are also blue and white versions of this label floating around.

Hi Al,thanks for getting back to me.Sorry my mistake about 'Venture' and 'Space Shuttle'.However the 'Commando' cart has a simple black printing on white label, which reads 'DISTRIBUTED BY SALU LTD'.Thanks for your help.

No need to apologize, we know it can be a little confusing for first-time visitors to the site when trying to find foreign files. Right now the search on the front page defaults to North America, so if you don't change that none of the foreign games will show up (I don't know if that's how you were trying to find these games, though).

As for Commando, do you have a scanner? I think we need to add all these Activision titles that were released by Salu to our database. I have several myself, but no Commando. We only add foreign titles that we can verify with a cart and/or box scan, to try and maintain as accurate a listing as possible. If you can send us a scan, that'd be great (preferrably at 200dpi or better, both of the front and end of the cart).

Thanks,

..Al

Since AtariAge is supposed to be an international site, wouldn't it be fair, not to filter for North America by default?

I think we should have a poll for this, yes? I won't state my preference at this time.

Sure a poll sounds good

the one on the front page has slowed down now that 634 people have voted on that one

807 is still the max number of votes that any poll has gotten

The only reason I went back and checked is I could have sworn there was a poll that had over 1,000 votes. We just put up a new poll with regards to this topic.
