[Rhindle The Red]

So a nice enough seeming fellow from Italy wrote to me and asked if he could include my 2600 hacks on an Italian classic gaming site he is putting together.

Now, although I hadn't yet decided ultimately whether to let him or not, I decided if I did, I'd re-work Return of Mario Bros. so the opening screen was in Italian.

I did, and now it is Ritorno dei fratelli di Mario da Nintendo. (I also turned the coin into a Euro. )

But then I thought it should have been the PAL version that I turned into Italian, so I came here to get the PAL ROM and found that the PAL listing is simply linked to the regular NTSC ROM.

Is there a PAL ROM out there? I don't suppose it really matters, but I thought it would be a nice touch for the Italians to have it in a burnable form for European 2600s.

If you ask me for an opinion, all I can say is:

Oops, that's something we'll have to fix. That was probably put online well before we started bulk adding foreign titles. The only reason that one made it to the site earlier is because of it's unique Red Label. There are probably a few other PAL red label Atari games that incorrectly have the NTSC ROM. Good catch.

I'm sure someone can supply you with the proper ROM that you need for your hack. If they do, please pass it along and I'll update our PAL Mario Bros. entry with it.
