one of the PAL knock-off styles in europe is the small cart with "fantastic game" on the label:

what manufacturer are these usually attributed to or how are they grouped (taiwan a,b,F,1,2, or ???) or is the maker simply "unknown". i've seen this label used both for single game carts like boom bang (?)and 8-in-1 and 64-in-1 multi's.

I believe this is of unknown origin. We have a number of these we are about to add to our database, and we decided to create an Unknown category, with "Fantastic Game" as the subcategory. We will probably do away with "Taiwan 1" as well, and move those to "Unknown" with some type of consistent subcategory. To me, if there is no known company then it should be Unknown. Calling them Taiwan 1 or whatever is sort of arbitrary and inaccurate when listed among other companies. It does however serve a purpose in a descriptive category.

I think these Pet Boat games from the same company, because I have one boxed, and on the box stand to Fantastic Game with the same text style.
