So onto my question. Does anyone know if each individual game used a special dongle or if groups of games used one type of dongle? The reason I ask is because I was looking through the MAME emulation source and they seem to seperate the games under 5 different dongles.

Actually it's more like the ONLY page for DECO Cassette System information. This thing seems to have been as popular as the plague.

That is the best point to start. D/L the manual and it makes a ton more sense how it all works.
