Hi... I'm just wondering if anyone has a complete list of the NES games that have been emulated on the GameCube.

Naturally you can't just go and pick up an "NES Classics" disc for GCN (as much as I wish you could), but of course we have the Zelda Collector's Disc, plus unlockable NES versions like the original Metroid (which I find very annoying, because I don't have a GBA with which to play Metroid Fusion and unlock the game... but I am considering getting a GBA Player for my GCN just for that reason!)...

Anyway... back to the point: Does anyone have a complete list of all NES games that have been emulated on the GameCube? (I'm not talking about GBA remakes of NES games that, with a GBA Player can be played on the GCN... I'm talking about original NES games.)

Thanks...

Metroid-Metroid Prime (oh yeah dude, If you want to unlock this DONT get a gameboy player. There would be no way for you to link it up to metroid prime. get an sp instead)

Excitebike
Donkey Kong 3
Donkey Kong Jr.
Donkey Kong
Baseball
Warios Woods
Donkey Kong Jr. Math
Tennis
Golf
Zelda
Punchout
Balloon Fight
Super Mario Bros.

and I know theres 19 games on Animal Crossing so theres 6 more than I mentioned.

See, I think that is really lame. Getting to play original NES Metroid is not a big enough prize considering everything they expect you to buy in order to unlock it. (Then again, that's my perspective considering that I do own an NES and the original Metroid cart.)

Can you indicate what GameCube games hold all of these unlockables?

(19 games on Animal Crossing, eh? Maybe I will pick it up after all.)

Don't forget you don't need to do the Prime/Fusion link-up. If you beat Zero Mission on GBA, you get Metroid for free. Just pop your Zero Mission in the GB Player, there ya go. :D

I have no GameBoy anything, whatsoever. I really don't have any reason to take my games on-the-go, and I am not really interested in playing them on a tiny screen, so I would consider getting the GameBoy Player for GCN, just so I can play GameBoy games on my GameCube... but there's no way I am going to buy a GBA. (Aren't they more expensive than the GameCube? I'd be better off buying a second GameCube for my other TV!)

You can get a GBA for 70 bucks new right now, and you'll probably get free stuff with it.

If I were to get one I'd probably want to get a GBA SP though, and then I'd need the GBA-to-GCN connector cable... and then I'd be looking at a pile of cash. I'd rather just spend $50 on the GBA player and buy more games.

I heard the new Metal Gear Solid will have the original Metal Gear unlockable somehow.

Plus there's the upcoming Mega Man Anniversary Collection

You can play Zelda 2: Adventure of Link on your GC via the Zelda Collection Disc.

I have one of those GBA multi-carts with 80 plus NES games on it. Does this count if I plug it into my GCN GBA player? :D

Seriously, I think Nintendo would have big seller if the put out NES compilations for the GCN and quit taunting us with these hidden games.

Or another option is you can play most any NES game on the GC by putting the NES emulator onto a GBA flashcart, then playing it via the GBA Player

Hey don't laugh.. it works.. and pretty well :P You'll get the altered resolution of the GBA however, although this is adjustable.

And yes, I actually played a round of Casino Kid up through the end this way using savestates... on the gamecube :ponder:

Plus if you get the GBA, you'd want the eCard reader.... then all NES games on card..... then the GC-GBA link cable..... and a second GBA to link to with the link cable (that's extra).... but if you want to play movies or MP3's then that's another $200-300....

Or you could by GP32 and have all the NES, Genesis, PC Engine, NGPC etc etc games you want aswell as playing movies and MP3's straight out of the box. Would that be too easy?
