a way to bulid a arcade game?

is there any way to make a arcade style game case? like using some wood, an old tv, and some sort of game system? or a old computer instead of the game system?

there are hundreds of people that built their own arcade machine

It might be easier to cannibalize an old arcade cab. Gut 'em, sell the gut on eBay (someone will buy it even if they are junk), put a monitor or a TV, a PC for MAME, wire up the controller.

With building one from scratch, you'd have to cut up several pieces, put them together, take a few days off to nurse a black thumb, sand the rough edge, paint them, take a few more days off to recover from paint fume, and then wire the controller in place. The advenatage of this is you could build the cab your way (big, little, tall, short, mini, etc)
