It seems like a good idea to me. They would be easier and probably cheaper to make, lighter and easier to transport, less prone to damage/chipping/dents, you could mold them into all kinds of cool new designs instead of the standard wooden cab design, you could mold them in colors- no need to paint/fix the paint chips.

Have you seen the interviews on the Williams Classics discs? The monitors would pop out due to shrinkage! While I too, like the look of Duramold, there's that issue.

Yeah, I know that. I'm not talking about just Duramold cabs but making any cabs out of fiberglass instead of wood. It looked cool with Space War.

Space War was wood, it was Computer Space that was fiberglass. A few games were made that way (Night Driver cockpit, Space Race, a Kee Games driver (cant recall the name) and a few others).

There was also a Die Hard cab that was made with Duramold, IIRC.

Fiberglass isn't cheap either.

I think there were a few others kits for duramold cabs, KLOV shows an Atari Batman duramold.
