Speaking of moving an arcade machine upstairs, I just got this little beauty a few days ago... sure it's pretty compact, but it sure as hell wasn't light. carried it up the stairs myself. This thing must weigh over 80 lbs.

That must be the heaviest lava lamp ever made! :dunce:

Actually that one's a plasma storm lamp with tricolor lightning.

Yep, I got one of those (the lamp) those are REALLY REALLY heavy :P

How much did you pay for that (the machine)?

$300 which might seem a bit steep, but it is complete and in good working order and has a 12 month warranty. I got it from a shop down the street that sells pinballs, arcade machines, slots and jukeboxes.

My gameroom is in the backyard in a workshop. That means every cabinet I buy has to be hand trucked across a lumpy yard, up a couple of stairs, and then into the room. What's worse is, I just discovered that a couple of games I bought recently have CP's that are 37 inches wide -- the door is only 34".

Ah, the things we do for games. :)

What do you mean "complete"?

No parts missing, original manual was also inside, tucked under the plate the motherboard was mounted on, etc... that's what I meant by complete.

Oh, I was thinking it had a box and stuff. I was hoping to score an Incomplete one, but after finding out what complete means, I need to start saving!

I hate to say it, but It's probably not worth the trouble. If you really are set on moving it upstairs, then you may want to look into renting a stair-climbing hand truck, or hiring a moving firm that has one available. They're used to move vending machines and such around, so if there's enough room on your stairs they should handle an arcade cabinet. If there's not enough room, then you need to find a friend who's really, really strong and have him carry it. :)
