are never, ever, ever located even remotely within a reasonable driving distance of you? WTF is that about? Is this like a reverse Bira-Bira effect? Anytime I've ever seen anything I might want to get, it's always on the other side of the country. And yes, I've tried searching by regions.

Yeah... we usually do a reagonal serch also, but get nothing all the time. When we won our last machine, it came from Tennesse, and the shipping was around $180, just watching peoples reaction to seeing an 18 wheeler pull up next to your house, and unloading a huge crate, you think it was the second coming of Christ...

I did actually manage to buy a dead cab on ebay within a couple hours drive of my house once. No way I would have bought it otherwise, shipping would have been way more than it was worth at the time.

I have no problem locating games in the New England area. Ebay's the last place to look for arcade games, not the first, btw.

Could you PM me some advice, then? I haven't had the greatest of luck so far aside from the couple of cabs you saw at my house.

Actually got a working JAMMA ALIEN cabinet for only $150 within a few hours of where I live. Ha dquite an adventure picking it up and I've never found quite such a deal again.

Quick side note:

I will be selling a few arcade games in the TULSA, OK area. Keep an eye out for that.

And the few times one has been reasonably close to me, the price ended up being so ridiculously high it was like shipping one in from Australia.

I just saw a Black Knight 2000 pinball for sale on eBay in Dallas, TX. I live in San Antonio. I am currently kicking myself for not having bid on it, 'cause I think the final price was $960.

I have a truck, I had the money to buy the machine and the means to drive the five hours to D-Town and pick it up, but I didn't. And I'll probably never get that kind of opportunity again.

Oh well... I'll just go back to playing BK2000 on VPinMAME and cry myself to sleep.

About a year ago I happened to be poking around ebay and searched for "mappy" thinking I could buy Mappy for the Famicom or something. And there it was: a working Mappy cabinet in pristine condition for $500, and only about 30 miles from where I lived.

Shame I'm living in a 1200 square foot apartment.

In retrospect I'm kinda glad I didn't buy it, though, because then it would have that much harder to justify the gigantic Hanaho ArcadePC Deluxe when we do finally buy our house ;)

Shipping costs are not so bad...just have to have an easy going seller. Crating should be 50 or less, and coast to coast from Pilot Air or Forward Air is not unreasonable. Have sold/bought that way many times.

Once sold an EDOT to a fella in England...now THAT was a shipping charge!

It sure is hard trying to find a seller in my area, I bought my Venture from a guy here in Michigan, but that was it. Right now I am trying to find a full size Wizard of Wor and have yet to find anyone selling them near me.

 :!:

Please!
Help a fellow New Englander find a nice original Pac-Man coin op machine! Preferably one that's intact with the original PCB set.

I've had so/so luck with finding games on eBay so far. One game I bought didn't work when I went to pick it up. One of the problems with games is they always look so much better in pictures than in person.

Like most of these other guys, I search the want ads, local auctions, and eBay everyday. It's just like anything else, be patient and the games will come to you!
