Someones selling pac man in our local paper they want 900.00 is that a good deal or high.

It depends on whether the cabinet is original, or a reconditioned cabinet, the overall condition of the mechanics, the overall condition of the monitor: is there excessive screen burn, etc..., the overall condition of the cabinet, how much you would have to put into the game to restore it and whether or not you are buying this game for home use or for resale.

SKU is very right in his advice. Most any vintage video game machine, if in very bad condition, is worth far less than $900. But if the Pac-Man machine that you are considering is very good to excellent condition, then I would consider $900 a very fair price.

Before you make a decision on your bid/not bid, you should ask the seller for very detailed information about the condition of the cabinet, the mnitor, the circuit boards, etc.

When you find out this information, you should post a reply to this message board, so that the experts (and, BTW, i don't consider myself an expert, just trying to help) can give you a better idea of whether or not you have yourself a good deal.
