I couldn't connect to FF XI online so I played a few rounds of Subterranea on the emulator. The second try was a breakthrough for me. My new high score is 13693. :)

Here is my last score (even though it is only a few hundred more than my last one)

This game is hard to one up your old high score on. For me one game I will get 8k and the next game I will get about 20k.

I am surprised nobody rolled it over. :D

... and that's the end of this week! I hope you all enjoyed Subterranea! It's definitely one of the lesser known classics as far as I'm concerned. It's cool to see stuff like this get the spotlight. It's too bad it's not a more common game.

Congratulations to everyone on their high scores! This game is definitely a tough one. I hope you all join in next week for another excellent shooter!

Yes it is. It doesn't seem like I picked it over a year and half ago though. Man time flies.

I take it this game would be pretty hard to program, right? Seems like it would take some work to get lots of colors on detailed small sprites. And then they all move in a certain way also. Then there is the hexaplux level which is completely different than the rest of the game (not scrolling that is)

This game is usually played at least once every time I use my cc2. I think it is one of the best games on the system.
