If you've never heard of these games they're great. They are space battle games similar to Xwing or Tie Fighter. There are two now - Battle of Yavin an Battle of Endor and he has two he's working on based on ESB - Escape from Hoth and Battle of Hoth. Really incredible work and they're free!

Check em out!

Nifty, but too slow-paced and the X-wings turn like ore carriers.

If it's like Xwing why not just download Xwing? :ahoy:

BTW Alliance is better...and I think that you can just download the demo version and use the editor called Allied to replace the demo mission with anything you want :D

Not bad, but I echo the comments above. Plus, digital joystick control is horrid. :woozy:

Oh, I don't know, maybe because it won't fucking run on a new system without a bunch of effort?

Nah...nothing special about Xwing (though it requires a lot of base memory). Dosbox should be able to handle it quite easy.

Well no its not perfect but for freeware I thought it was pretty good. Can't wait for the Hoth games. Something along the lines of the first level of Shadows of the Empire I would think.

The best freeware game I've played in a long while is:

Gotta try this one if you haven't already. Loved the old scorched earth DOS game.
