ugh, forgot some:

Mr. Bill's Neighborhood 2600
Incredible Hulk 2600
Mr. T 2600
Smoky the Bear 2600

...and last but not least, the one I wanted the most when I was younger: Kickman by CBS for 2600.

Mike, do you have any more info and pictures of Super River Raid? I saw one picture of it years ago in a game mag preview, and never since. The picture I saw (IIRC) was the jet flying upwards through a city.

And wasn't "Adventure II 2600" what turned into Swordquest?

Rolling Thunder (Lynx) - Loved this game.
Cabal (Lynx) - Never seen any screenshots.
Ultra Star Raiders (Lynx) - Likewise but it did exist.
Geo Duel (Lynx) - Looked awesome.
Vindicators (Lynx) - Actully seen a review of this & the box!

Electrocop (7800) - Was it different to the Lynx version.
Gauntlet (7800) - Only heard about this recently.
Solaris (7800) - 2600 version is my fave game on the system.

RE: "Mike, do you have any more info and pictures of Super River Raid? "

Not really. I swore I had a flyer from CES with, IIRC, the same image you had described. I tried to get a glimpse of it in the day, but I couldn't get into the "closed door" demo room. So it's kind of become a holy grail for me.

As for Adventure II - yeah, it became Swordquest. Swordquest was Tod Frye's brainchild. Once Atari and Warner buddied up, they had access to DC Comics. Tod thought it would be a great idea to combine a game with a comic, etc. By the end, it was its own thing. However, I used to see the Adventure II line item in VideoLivery, and dream of a proper sequel. ;) That's the one I would kill for right now.

Yep. Supposedly a prototype labeled Adventure II exists, but it's just SQ: Earthworld.

Interesting.

Thankfully, Adventure II became Swordquest. It had been a shame to tarnish Adventure's reputation with that crappy game series. Or, maybe it would have been better without the "Swordquest" idea.

Oh, and one last detail about the birth of Swordquest if anyone is interested: Warner owned Atari, DC, AND the Franklin Mint. It was those three things that sparked the series. A sort of relationship of convenience, for sure.

Mike....

1) Ballblazer 2600 (Tod Frye) - Pretty far along.

I could swear Tod mentioned to me that he spent a night or two thinking it over and then realized it would be a horrible version, so it didn't get past conceptualization....

19) Yars Revenge II (Not sure how far, but I had the gameplay described to me)

Howard says he's got a great idea for a Yars' II but nothing was ever started... in a sense Saboteur is kinda of a continuation of the Yars' saga.

I heard that a simple demo was done to try and show that the 2600 could do the split-screen, but beyond that nothing more was done. I'm kinda curious as to how far along this was, I swear I saw a document somewhere that said 30% as of the June/July shutdown.

Polo for the 2600 and the hand-written directions.

Tod said he had the split screen working and the scrolling playfield. Beyond that, I'm not sure how much further he got. Sounds like the kernal was significant.
