As I said on the other topic, I think it would be interesting to make a top 100 games for the system. It´s been done on other sites, but they have dissapeared or were done by few people.

Here, everyone can vote their 10 favourite games to rank them on a big list. The first game on the list will receive 10 points, the second one 9, and so on. Every 5 or 6 votes I´ll do an update of the list.

I hope that people like the idea and starts voting. This could be an important reference to know wich games are must haves!

can't help but have some tied games when making a top ten. If others add their top ten lists then eventually all the games will be scored differently. A top ten list is likely to produce fairly homogenous results; how 'bout a top 20? I really do like the idea of grading the best games on a point scale, it's nice to have fresh thought injected into this reverberated idea.

I think this list is going to be interesting, because if enough people vote it should show that rare games don't usually suck. It seems as though I'm always hearing that most rare games suck and this is simply not true. From the games in my collection I think the rare games tend to be better than the common games. Seeing as how a majority of rare games were made from 1983 and on the programmers of these games had plenty of experience with the Atari hardware and were able to push it much further than earlier offerings. Games always get better with time on a system. Xenophobe and BMX Airmaster are prime examples of later games pushing the limit of the 2600.
