Does anyone know of any 2600 emulators that work on Windows XP? My company just upgraded us and now my secret copy of Z26 is no longer effective just when Lord of the Rings is finally released. Any suggestions?

I would be willing to bet that StellaX also works in Windows XP. I don't have XP, but it does work fine in Windows 2000 and XP is based off that.

Yeah StellaX works the best in XP...only none of the recent protos work in StellaX however since it doesn't have a profile file it works from.

Z26 works on my XP set at home..but the sound has a constant buzzing and it seems slow..like about 45frames or so..

Hopefully StellaX will be updated some time to support these newer Protos...

All you have to do is put the Stella.pro file in the same directory as the StellaX executable and it'll read the file. So if you grab the latest Stella.pro you should be all set.

Thanks so much for the help. StellaX does work and with the stella.pro I got Lord of the Rings running. This XP is a pain so far.
