One of five known prototypes of this tabletop is on eBay:

Even the coinop that fetches the most cash (Quantum) doesn't go for THAT much :)

Over eighteen thoudand dollars? And it's an empty shell with no electronics? Unreal. But hey, the marketplace will decide what it's worth in the end, won't it?

Certainly not £9.990 as this is a relist. Nobody bought it the first time, and i would be surprised if someone buys it this time...

Wow. I missed the part about there not being any electronics inside. I wouldn't pay $20 for that pile of wank :)

Without the innards it's worth less than $1000 to me. Now if it had the insides then you might be able to get $5000+ for it. Even complete I'd find it hard to believe anyone would pay over $10,000 for any prototype item.

Wow neat to see those great pics, but yeah $18,000 seems a tad high for a shell. I suppose if I were worth $15,000,000 I might consider it. :P

IMO, without any electronics inside it's not a prototype, it's a mockup. It certainly isn't worth anything close to what they seem to want to get out of it.

Does any video exist of this machine? I've seen images but am curious as to how it played.

My understanding of it's intended play is that it's basically about as sophisticated as an Entex Select-A-Game with holographic overlays. The Holograms don't move, not unlike Vectrex overlays. I bet that the Space Invaders handheld would have been more fun if they'd finished it.

forget this cosmos bloke, he's just fishing for market value for the item

A better product prototype would have been the atari 1600xl (apparently the one that was to have featured the amiga chipset)

Alt... A proto version of computer space (cabinet, monitor, pcb/electronics the lot)

A PAL version of the 5200 or 1200 (none ever manuf. or proto'd)

The fabled AMIE/AMY chip (complete with xe me)

A fully working proto of Panther, 1090xl Expansion box (complete with all cards and must be working) and not forgetting the all in one Antic/G/Ctia chip design (apparently, proto's exist)

I know... dream on... dream on .. you thirty somethings!!!
