You have to get a 'dead' guy to appear over the ledge to grab to treasure - I was on the RH ladder when he appeared - dont know if that is a trigger area.

Lame level

Am I playing the right version? It seems to grant another life at every level up. I played it last night and got to level 27. I got bored and quit with 12 men left.

Thats the right version - I had 10 men on lvl 29 where I was stopped!

This is truly a classic 8bit computer title IMHO - prob hasnt aged as well since one can play this a long time, but way back this was a hot title!

What do I have to do to join? Is there a rules post/thread somewhere?

Send $1,000 to ................. :D

Just play the game during the 2 week time period and post a screenshot of your score - thats it!

Just download the game(if you don't have it already), play it and post the best score you got (plus scrteenshot), during the time of the contest.

That's all :)

Thanks, folks. I've been playing the 2600 HSC, which is fun, but my childhood was mostly on the A8 - so I thought I would try this too :)

Just to make sure, we are allowed to use Ctrl-A to kill our man when he gets into an impossible situation?

Of course, none of the other keystrokes to go up a level, get a free man, etc...

Yes - thats the only way to finish levels where you get stuck and have to start over

27100 - got stuck and couldn't figure out how to kill myself. Ah well, I'm out of time to play right now anyway.

That's what I thought, but I have CTRL remapped to something else and I couldn't figure out how to remap it right then.

This is an endurance test! I forced myself to play a little longer.

Here my score: 53100

So far, I thought, that Lode Runner is boaring. But it isn't, it's a great game. Unfortunately I don't have more time to play. Many thanks for the people who voted for the game.

So no one is going to run through all the levels :)

We shouldve played Champ Lode Runner - I dont think I can finish more than 5 levels!

The problem is it just takes so long!

I think Champ Lode Runner would have been better! Harder, more skill involved instead of just endurance!
