Did this one a while ago, but I think it's time for a new one. So, what's the centerpiece of your collection? For me, there's a few: PAL Xenophobe, Ghostbusters II, Frogger II, and sealed Dark Chambers. You can include sealed ET if you want. Sealed Desert Falcon is possible, once it comes in the mail. So, tell what your centerpiece is.

I suppose Rescue Terra I, other than that my instruction manual collection is pretty strong. Have Gas Hog, and a couple other around the same level. Nothing TOO rare, but then I refuse to pay any more than $5 or so for ANY game (within reason, if I see crazy climber sometime for $20 I suppose I would pick it up of course.)

I heven't really got anything what would be considered rare. According to the ratings here at Atariage my centerpiece would be a really good complete Ikari Warriors.

For personal reasons and not rarity my favourite item is boxed complete Pitfall. This is my favourite because I bought it brand new in 1983(ish) and it is the only Atari item I still own from when I first got my Atari in 82. The rest of my first Atari has long since been broken, lost, sold.

My rarest item would either have to be my boxed Coke Wins or boxed Music Machine. Someday I'll get them both scanned and sent to AtariAge.

My rarest cart is Tapper. (a lowly 6)

But my prized possession is a Spider-man (mint cart) with box (all I need are the instructions!)

Hi!
What you want to know about Brazilian Othello cart? Is your cartridge from CCE?
In my childhood I've played a lot Othello and Wizard of Wor with my father.

Greetings,
Sergio

Well, this is kinda hard. i guess my prized possesion is my MAME cabinet that I built. Prolly cause I spent so many hours making it. Cenetrpieces are hard to name because it's usually more than just rarity and I have many individual game collections. The centerpieces (rarest carts) of my 2600 collection are loose berestain bears and q-berts qubes. My manual collection for 2600 is faily large (250 or so). the best manuals i have are prolly atari video cube and motorodeo. my favorite one though, is the night driver one i got signed by Rob Fulop (thanks Adam) The centerpiece (rarest) of my NES collection is probably a boxed bubble bobble part II or complete secret scout & menace beach. my favorite nes thing out of my collection is prolly a boxed arkanoid.
kudos :-)

Well, I don't have much of a collection, but the centrepiece...
I've got a fair set of Boxed Activision games, a nice, unusual all-black Irish 2600jr, though I guess Gunfight and (soon) Qb special edition will be the real show-off bits

My centerpiece is not so rare, but hard to find boxed with instructions, it is Cosmic Swarm. I do have a Texas Chainsaw with instructions, but I like the Cosmic Swarm better.

Exactly. It also has to do with nostalgia, or perhaps a special place you got it/them. That's how I feel about many of my games. For example, sealed Dark Chambers isn't anything especially rare, only a 4, but the game is so cool, and it's such a good example of that late-80's Atari gaming, that I love having a mint copy (4's are hard to come by in the wild here anyways). And to stay on topic, I guess you can you can include sealed ET as one of my centerpieces, the game is such a nostalgia piece, even though the game isn't very good.

8bit,

The othello cart is viewable here.
As far as I can tell it is identical to the north american atari release. It is NTSC.

Some sort of brazil pirate, just never have seen that kind of label before.

I really don't know if I own something rare in my collection.

Actually, for personal reasons, I could say Crystal Castles and Indy Jones for Atari VCS.

Hi Galaga_Freak,

That cartridge isn't Brazilian because is written "video juego" (Spanish). In Brazil we speak Portuguese, so this cart is from another South American country.

Best regards,

Yeah, centerpiece is difficult to pick, and I would have to go with favorite or most visible over most expensive -- some stuff I have for completeness, really.

I really dig my coin-op Black Widow, because there's nothing like playing a color vector, and sticking your head by the speakers in the cabinet.

I also like my 7800 dev kit, which I swear I will do something productive with, if I ever find the time.

Eric
