What's the difference? I mean besides the bigger wall and smaller paddle? What's the difference.

I think I like Super Breakout more, but why?

super breakout is better because of the variations in game play- it's got a version with 2 balls at once, the double paddle
and another (i'm not sure if it's the same game) with 2 separate breakout walls. and there's one where the wall creeps down every few seconds- like space invaders.

That's what I get for only playing game 1 1! What options does regular Breakout have?

Regular breakout has normal, breakTHRU where the ball destroys all bricks until it gets to the top of the playfield, and steerable, and I believe catch.

I like the first one more, just because it's the original. I can play hours of it.

Shows how much I know, I thought Super Breakout was a one and only. I didnt even know there was a normal Breakout.

Super des have the original. I love the new sounds on Super and the advancing wall is always great fun.

One thing that's really terrible about regular Breakout is that there's no third level. Once you clear the first two, no more blocks appear.

Wow, I didn't know this. I've played Super Breakout quite a bit, but never really spent much time with Breakout. Does it not do anything at that point? As in, game over until you press Reset?

Super Breakout is definitely superior - better cover art!

You can keep hitting the ball of the walls, but you can't score anything since there are no blocks, so it gets a little old.

You can read my reviews of both games below

breakout

super breakout

But in a nutshell I found super breakout to be a lot of fun, while I think breakout gets boring pretty quickly. S Breakout has the selectable music, better graphics, tighter control, plus the cool Progressive Game Variation...

Cheers,

That's why I rarely ever play the original any more. I finish the second level with one or two balls left and I have nothing to do. Super Breakout keeps going until you lose all your balls. I also really like the other versions of Breakout. (Doubles is my favorite.) Sometimes I'll play the original. I really like Breakthru. But Super Breakout is the better of the two.
