I got 2 2600 games

Zaxxon
SSSnake

and 4 7800 games

Ballblazer (red end label)
Barnyard Blaster
Fight Night
Xenophobe

Paid a total of $3 for the lot. I'm just curious, I've never played any of hese before, I've heard that some of them are pretty bad, but how bad are they??? Are there any worth playing? Thanks

Ballblazer and Xenophobe are sweet. And that particular end label of Blazer is a rarer sort.

You did alright.
Zaxxon and SSSnake are pretty common. So are Ballblazer and Barnyard Blaster. Fight Night is a little less common and Xenophobe would be a deal by itself for $3.

Did you get a lightgun with Barnyard? That would be a good deal!

I'll have a partner to play Ballblazer with as soon as I get my joypads. My 7800 sticks are wearing out. And of course, repairing my one 2600 will help, so I can have both systems up and running.

Disagree. While Zaxxon truely is common, I think Sssnake deserves more credit for rarity than it is given. I've only seen 1 in the wild in almost 10 years of collecting. Could be a regional issue, but I wouldn't classify it as "common" in any case.

On the flip side, however, it isn't worth a ton of money. I'd pay $3 just for Sssnake any time, though. Good find!

I remember back in the day, my friend and I use to save our allowance to buy atari games. One trip out he was unfortunate enough to buy SSSnake with the money he had saved. We took it home tried playing it for about 15 minutes and then threw it in a corner of the room. That was about 20 years ago, I haven't played it since

You got all those games for just $3 bucks, that's great. I don't know how much Xenophobe is for the 7800, but for the 2600 its not cheap.

It seems like I'm starting a Xenophobe collection, just picked one up for the NES for $2 yesterday...

Sounds like I did pretty good, about time I got a break...

Now MattG's in on it! Okay, here's the plan, I'll take the Northern half, Matt, you take the middle, Scooter, you get the bottom. Then we'll all go over it again to get any we missed!

I live in Mansfield, Ohio - near the dead-center of the state - and have never found a Xenophobe in the wilds. Now I know why.

You greedy, greedy bastards.

Wow, I didn't know there were that many Ohioans here. Okay, now all we need is Kyle in on this, and we'll be ready to go.

Actually, I live closer to central Ohio, so I'll take that, and Matt, in Cincy can take the southern part...of course, I found both of my Xenophobe's within 30 minutes of Cincinnati, so I think I may be infringing on Matt's turf as it is...
