Instructions here:

http://www.atarihq.c...uals/dread.html

I destroyed just about everything on the Dreadnaught with no luck - anyone want to point out excatly what the vents are?

The 'stargate screen' - I presume there is nothing to do but see the status here? Looks like something else should happen but I dont see it.

Well, well. Finally a game I'm master of!!!
1) I suppose we all play at level 7. This level is most difficult and has 99 rounds.
2) Ship can be destroyed by destroying all objects with four horizontal lines.
3) "Star gate" is there for info only. It informs you about points and about distance from attacking enemy ship.
4) All enemy ships have 4 engines and they "fly" 15 miles/one your mission. Destroying any engine means speed - 2 => enemy still "fly" without any engine at 9 miles/one your mission (at level 7).
5) Scoring:

small turret = 1 point
gun of big turret = 5 points
slow big bomb "sitting" on ship = 5 points
thrower of "stars" = 5 points
fast small bomb "sitting" on ship = 10 points
object between "stars" throwers = 10 points
flying slow big bomb = 10 points
object with four horizontal lines = 20 points
flying "stars" from thrower = 25 points
engine = 25 points
flying fast small bomb = 25 points
black blinking object = 50 points
small ball thrown by small turret = 50 points
big ball thrown by gun of big turret = 75 points
ultra fast disk thrown by slow big bomb = 100 points

destroying whole ship = 10 points
each mile of destroyed ship distance from your base = 10 points

each saved fighter at the end of game (after 99 rounds at level 7) = 5000 points.

F.

BTW: my personal record of this game is 804.794 points.

LEVEL 7??? Are you nuts???

_Fandal_, I predict you win this week!

BTW, I wouldnt say Star Gate is there for info only. If the current Dreadnaught reaches it, it's GAME OVER.

Vents are the black vertical ovals.

Hi there!

But level 3 is only 2 dreadnaughts, you can finish them off in 5 minutes.

Greetings,
Manuel

This is a pretty cool game - Lvl 7 is tough but the earlier levels are too easy.

Keep hitting the fire button - you will see a small bomb looking thing come out every 2nd or 3rd shot.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but I was hoping there was a different method.

Say, since you're such an expert player on this game, can you tell me how many different dreadnaught types do exist in this game?

Greetings,

I had to beat sixteen dreadnaughts to make screenshots of all seven types but I did it for you! :)

Unpack attachment and try to beat dreadnaught type 7 if you want to test your skills. It's my favourite enemy! Used emulator: Atari800Win PLus beta 6.

Amazing! Thanks! :)

Looking at those, I think I never made past the one that is looking like a baseball field ;)
