Well, discounting eBay, I've found the best way to augment your collection is through other collectors. It may be tough when starting out, as you won't have very much to trade with, and what you do have others have probably already obtained. A good way to obtain tradebait is to buy systems that come with a good number of carts. You can keep the carts you need for your collection and then use the others for trading. Of course, you'll eventually end up with many dupes of common carts, but it's hard to avoid that.

Except on rare occasion, thrift shops, garage sales, and flea markets haven't been terribly exciting for me.

How about Best Electronics.Since you said no online shopeing BEST takes phone and mail orders.Sometimes the games will be a littler higher from them than at a flea market or ebay sometimes not i see spiderman go for $10 bucks plus shiping on ebaY. You can get it new in box for $8 ordering from best. By the way atari master how old are you just wondering.

Out in the wild, they tend to live near water, hunting only at night...

On a more serious note, yard/garage sales are THE best place. And often the people selling them don't realize the worth to a collector. To them, it's just junk and therefore sell it really cheap. To a collector, it can mean so much more. Also the best place to find old CDs and albums.

This is so true, and they also dont want to price things to high as they will have to spend more time outside or have to take it back into the house or pack it back up
