If so, let me know what it went for or about how much they usually go for.

I think one sold for about $240.00 on ebay about two months ago. I see them for sale on ebay about 2-3 times a year.

They have certainly been a rare find lately. Expect to pay $200 - $300 for one.

What is it? And how does it attach to an Atari 2600??

The Atari Video Music was not an attachment for an Atari 2600. It was sort of like a stereo compnent. It had inputs to connect a turntable or tape recorder or whatever source of music, and an output to connect to a television set. It would display a visual representation of the music on the television, kinda like a visualization on WinAmp or something. A funny story goes along with the Video Music system. Remember that Atari employed a lot of hippies in the 70's. When some marketer or someone (I can't remember) came to look at the Atari Video Music, he thought it was too psychadellic. He asked "What were you smoking when you came up with this thing?". Just then, a hippie smoking a marijuana cigarette came out from a back room...

Oh yeah I heard about that thing. Saw one on ebay about 4 years ago boxed. I thought maybe it was some new find for the Atari 2600...Since this is the Atari 2600 forum.

I have one, and I'm thinking about selling it... also, I know someone else who has one as well and he's not a collector -- he just finds cool stuff at flea markets. He might be willing to part with his as well...
