A good friend of mine autioned one off about two years back for $168 i believe. But that was two years back... today prolly worth as much as any other rarity 9 is worth.

I've had this on my eBay watch page since I started eBay and still have never seen it. But you better believe I'm bidding on it when it does show up!

The way things have been going on ebay, it could easily get way up there. I know one thing, I won't be bidding on it.

Yeah, kinda a coincidence, don't you think?

I got an e-mail from that seller recently, too.

And like I said, I will bid on it.

Unless, it gets in to the "Oh my gawd, how much" range. My luck is Ataripitbull would use his Lochjaw technique on me. ROTFLMAO.

I'm not hiding. Yes, it's my auction and
I have a couple others up as well. And to
add to that I will be a regular eBay seller
of Atari 2600 "STUFF" for a while to come.
I will say this to whoever is interested,
I was offered $750 from an AA reader before
I put the auction up so put 2 and 2 together
and know I'm not dumb enough to let it get
away any cheaper than that at the very least. I also have a son who played all these games with me in the early to mid 80s.
And I have a 3 1/2 year old grandson who loves playing games on my computer(he's played almost everygame at www.t45ol.com ).
So I figure at least on this game if I can't
sell it for BIG bucks I'll just give it to one of them.
Just a PS so that you all don't think I'm just greedy.
I have just had to take a disability retirement at 55 after a year with no pay. So I figure this could pay a couple of bills for us. I have a lot to offer here and hope to be one of the gang, once you know me. Albert will vouch for the fact that I am already sharing with Atariage.

Don't worry. I don't think anyone thought you were hiding. We were just noting the coincidence. When you posted your first message about this, I had a feeling you had an auction in mind. Thanks for the e-mail, BTW. I am watching it now!

Ok... Now it has reach an outrageous level. Over $400 and the reserve isn't met? That's just crazy money! I'm just going to watch it to see if anyone actually mets the reserve now.

everybody who hasn't left 1000$ for this game shouldn't just worry about that one .... the reserve is probably at 750 or even more, as the seller got an offer for 750 but still decided to auction it ....

am i right? i think so far there's only 7-8 known cartridges in collectors hands, and this title probably wasn't produced in any larger quantities.

so i think that this might be (one of ) the last malagai boxed with original instructions/promo letter that you will ever see again on ebay .....

Hehe, I bought my complete Malagai back in 96... I bet this one will crack the $1,000 line easily. It's super rare and there won't be many chances to get a complete game within next few years.

Well I don't happen to have a spare $1000 lying around right now so I'll have to let this one go by. It may be a while, but I'll just keep my eyes open.

Like I've said before the box wasn't important to me but I would have taken it if I could get it.

Wow, you have 30% of all the Malagai's in existence! Now I just need to figure out how to coax you out of a copy. I'd be happy to get just one, even if it's not boxed!

Ok who is Buyatari.

Do you own a huge corporation, a columbian drug lord?

How can you justify paying this much money for games. Or how do you get all these super rare titles????

He owns the Cleveland Indians. He's going to let me play third base for them this year. Great guy, he is.

Seriously, tho.. if you want to know, I'd ask him privately. He's a first class guy to deal with.. I've sold him a few games in the past. He's definately an asset to the classic gaming community, even if he does out bid me!

no, buyatari has bought all the prototypes with bad gameplays (remember we discussed that most ultrarare games are shitty) and each year, he went to atari and told them: "ok, pay me 600000$ or i'll release the games with randy

Hey BuyAtari,
I think you should make one HUGE bid
on the game and sink the competition. If
you don't have the box, well what the hey.
It's almost like having a hemi with no car
to put it in.
Being totally serious gang. You have no
idea how great it was to realize that I had
all this stuff in my attic that is actually worth something. It is going to give my wife and I a few extra dollars to splurge with. I can only hope this hits the stratosphere come time to close.
I am and will be donating scans of many things I have to atariage so that all can see some of the "things of the past". I'm not a greedy person.
Put yourself in this senario. You go up in grandmas attic and find granpas old Honus Wagner card. Grandma says, "you keep it Johnny, I have no use for it at my age." You have been out of work for a year and could use the money. What do you do? Keep grandpas card or sell and put yourself back on your feet again?

Well here is standing offer to the winner (if it isn't me)

I will give you 1 copy of the Malagai cart PLUS 100 bucks for the box and letter.

or 100 bucks for just the letter

Adam

What the hell I'll even throw in a GBA and 2-3 games.

I'm in it for the box and manual also. If I'd end up winning this set, there will be a loose copy of the game for sale soon

Cheers,

Marco

hehe, marco. as you probably know all other bidders, you probably don't even need to auction it ... you might get enough offers right after the end of the auction ....

BTW, could it be that all malagai owner are registered here on the board
